Rochester, N.Y. – The Monroe County Department of Health is warning about potential COVID-19 exposure at a Park Avenue business last week.

Officials say have been notified of a positive coronavirus case possibly connected to Dragonfly Tavern on Monday, June 8 between 9 and 11 p.m.

The county says it’s attempting contact tracing, but the effort has been made difficult due to an unknown number of people being in the bar at the time.

Anyone who visited the bar during that period and is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 is asked to call their primary care doctor. Anyone who visited the bar and is not experiencing symptoms is still asked to call the Monroe County Department of Health at (585) 753-5555.

“Initial details from contact tracing interviews suggest that face coverings were not widely worn and there was little social distancing at the establishment during the time in reference,” the county said in a statement. “While indoor and outdoor patronizing of restaurants and bars is currently allowed under Phase 3 of New York Forward, face coverings and good physical distancing are still required. This means wearing a face covering when you are not seated at your individual table and maintaining six feet of physical distance from others whenever possible.”

This is a developing story. 13WHAM will provide updates as they become available.
