
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Monroe County Department of Public Health reported 511 new COVID-19 cases in the county Sunday.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases is 379 per day, and the seven-day rolling average positivity rate in the county is 5.73%.
Sunday as the second day in a row with over 500 new cases reported, after 515 reported Saturday, and the two largest single-day increases to date.

There were no new deaths reported over the weekend.
There was no update on regional hospitalization numbers Sunday. Health officials say the hospitalization data doesn’t update on weekends or holidays.
At last update Wednesday, there were 319 people in the Finger Lakes region hospitalized with COVID-19, the highest number since the pandemic began.
There are currently 2,891 active cases in Monroe County, the highest number of active cases to date.
