ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Regal Cinemas plans to begin reopening theaters on July 10, but with new safety rules in place.
Employees will have to go through a daily health screening and temperature check. Auditorium capacity will be reduced in some states and certain registers at the snack counter will be closed to maintain social distancing.
Additionally, each theater will also go through a deep clean after every movie.
There will also be no more refills on large drinks or popcorn.
Locally, there are four regal cinemas in our area. A date for movie theaters to reopen has not been set here in New York.
